Meet the founder
Mario Sanchez
Founder & Owner | Sun Star Notary LLC
A notarial act may take only a few minutes, but the document often represents something significant to the person signing it.
I founded Sun Star Notary LLC with a clear objective: to provide Midland and the Permian Basin with a professional, straightforward, and dependable notarial experience.
As the founder and owner, I take a hands-on approach to the business. From welcoming clients into our office to performing notarial acts, my focus remains on accuracy, clear communication, and respect for every individual who walks through our doors.

THE STORY
BEHIND SUN STAR
Established in 2025 | Midland, Texas
Sun Star Notary LLC was established in Midland, Texas, in 2025, but the story behind our name and our commitment to service began long before we opened our doors.
I was born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and have spent approximately half my life in the United States. I come from a family of hardworking parents—one who cleaned homes and another who dedicated their career to working as a mechanic. Neither was fluent in English, and growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges that language barriers can create when accessing important services. Those experiences shaped my belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, patience, and respect, regardless of their background or the language they speak.
Our name is a tribute to where our story began. Sun represents El Paso, Texas, famously known as the Sun City. Star symbolizes the illuminated star on the Franklin Mountains, a landmark that shines over El Paso and can also be seen from parts of Ciudad Juárez. Notary represents the profession through which we have chosen to serve our community. Together, these three words connect our roots, our identity, and our purpose.
THE JOURNEY TO MIDLAND
From professional experience to a commitment to community.
My professional journey began in a different industry. In 2015, I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Production. While my education initially led me toward a creative career, life presented opportunities that would ultimately shape a different professional path.
In 2017, I began working alongside my brother, an immigration attorney. During that time, I gained valuable experience with immigration procedures, administrative operations, and the importance of helping individuals and families navigate complex processes with the assistance of qualified legal professionals.
By 2023, my career had progressed into a leadership position as a Junior Director of Operations at a law firm. This experience strengthened my understanding of operational management, professional accountability, and the dedication required to support legal teams handling important immigration matters.
These experiences reinforced something I had learned long before entering the professional world: meaningful service requires patience, responsibility, and a genuine willingness to help others.
In 2025, I established Sun Star Notary LLC in Midland, Texas, bringing together my professional experience, personal values, and commitment to serving others.
Today, we are incredibly grateful to the Midland and Permian Basin communities for welcoming our business and allowing us to become part of their lives. Every opportunity to serve reinforces our commitment to providing dependable, affordable notarial services with professionalism, accuracy, and respect.
Midland has given us an opportunity. Our responsibility is to continue earning its trust.
