Document eligibility depends on the document, applicable law, and the requirements of the receiving agency or institution. Some documents may not be eligible for Remote Online Notarization.
Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts cannot be notarized online in Texas.
HOW REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION WORKS
Your Remote Online Notarization will be completed through OneNotary.
Upload your unsigned electronic document before the session.
Have a valid government-issued photo ID available.
Complete the required identity verification and credential analysis.
Join the secure live two-way audio-video session.
Sign the document electronically during the session.
The notary completes the electronic notarial certificate and applies the electronic seal and digital signature.
Your completed, notarized document will be available electronically after the session.
The audio-video session is recorded and maintained as required by Texas law.
Document Review & Additional Fees
Remote Online Notarization does not include legal review, legal advice, document drafting, or selection of a notarial certificate. Our role is limited to performing the requested notarial act and completing the required identity and signing procedures.
Additional fees may apply for multiple notarizations, additional signers, witnesses, extended sessions, or other services required for the appointment. All applicable fees will be disclosed before proceeding.
PREFER AN IN-PERSON NOTARY?
Prefer to complete your notarization in person? Sun Star Notary also provides office and mobile notary services by appointment in Midland and surrounding areas.
Mobile travel fees may apply based on location and scheduling.
Consultation Services
If you are unsure whether your document can be handled through Remote Online Notarization, we offer a paid administrative consultation to review the document’s notarial requirements, signer or witness logistics, and compatibility with the online process.
Consultation fee: $25
Consultation services do not include legal advice, document preparation, or selection of a notarial certificate.
